If you are looking for Indian restaurant in Barcelona and you don't know which one to choose, you've come to the perfect place. In this article I make a list of my favorite Indian restaurants in Barcelona.
Interest in Indian food has grown exponentially over the last few years and as a result there is a wide variety of Indian restaurants on the market with authentic flavors that are true to the secrets of this much-loved spicy cuisine.
Here is a list of my favorite selection of Indian restaurants and Pakistani restaurants in Barcelona
Indian restaurants in Barcelona
Masala House
It is located at 152 Muntaner Street and is the former Masala 73 Curry Bar which has now been renamed Casa Masala. The origin of this Indian restaurant was a food truck.
It is decorated with a lot of charm and fuses a modern style with some casual corners, the place is very cozy.
A unique dish of this Indian restaurant that fascinates me is the Vindaloo pork taco (a Goan curry with influences from Portuguese cuisine). The eggplant Baingain Bharta is an interesting discovery, and the highlight is the Chai ice creamyou can't leave without trying it.
They have a menu of the day, the Maharajah menu which is a tasting menu and has Indian food delivery service in Barcelona in various apps.

Tandoor
Definitely one of the best Indian restaurants in Barcelona and also one of my favorites. It is located in Aragon street 8.
The Indian restaurant Tandoor Barcelona has made a leap to the small screen thanks to the program "Joc de Cartes" of TV3.
It has a modern atmosphere and is a place where you will not only have sensory stimuli with the palate but also with the view thanks to the care with which everything is presented, you just have to enter their website and / or Instagram to understand what I'm talking about (I love their style).
My star dishes are the curiosa Galouti Kebab (lamb and legume croquette Indian style), the Oyster with mango and tamarind juice, the Mutton Korma (lamb stewed with coconut milk and dried fruits) and the Chicken Tikka Masala (Tandoori chicken breast).
Remember to leave room for dessert as they have two desserts to take you to paradise: the Chocolate and cardamom samosa served with coconut ice cream and Kulfi saffron and cinnamon (typical Indian homemade ice cream)

Mirch
The Indian restaurant Mirch Barcelona is located in the street รngels 12 in the heart of the Raval district. Its founder and chef is Ivan Surinder, also owner of the restaurant Tandoor.
Mirch is a very casual "garito" that aims to serve a fusion of Indian flavors but in its most Mediterranean version.
I recommend the bravas of the housethe curry bowls especially the Masoor Dal (red lentils with mustard seed), the Butter Chicken Pav and for dessert the Chai ice cream and salted caramel peanut ice cream.
Mirch Barcelona has Indian food delivery in Barcelona in various apps.

Little Andaman
It is located at 182 Muntaner street. Its design is minimalist and decorated with neutral colors that generate tranquility and harmony, something quite peculiar in an Indian restaurant since all of them are usually an explosion of colors. In this Indian restaurant in Barcelona the only explosion will be of flavors.
Their inspiration comes from the Andaman Island and their cuisine has a light and healthy Indian approach. They opt for flavors of the indian coast with fish, seafood with rice and coconut as protagonists. Good offer of vegetarian dishes and some "more popular" dishes for those palates of customs.
My favorite dish is the fish or shrimp curry with coconut. I am a lover of this coastal curry and in this Indian restaurant they embroider it to perfection. I also recommend the vegetable Kurma and the Konkan chicken curry (also with coconut).
They have a very interesting menu of homemade drinks and cocktails. I recommend the Mango and cinnamon mojito and Turmeric Colada (a piรฑa colada with turmeric). If you don't want alcohol, the lassi is delicious and the iced tea with cinnamon is not to be missed. If you are adventurous, try our traditional Sangria with a touch of spice.
They have several tasting menus and have home delivery service in several apps.

Bembi
Located at 377 Consell de Cent street (Metro: L4 Girona, L4 and L3 Passeig de Gracia). The ambience is elegant-chic and the cuisine is traditional with authentic flavors served with a touch of modernity.
For me this is one of the best Indian restaurants in Barcelona and I haven't tried anything yet that I wouldn't recommend but my favorite dishes are the Dal Makhani (black lentils), Saag Paneer (fresh Indian cheese with spiced spinach cream, Nariyal Jhinga (prawns in coconut curry), typical of Kerala, all the dishes Tandoori and bread Naan in all its versions.
They have an extensive menu, menu of the day and an exquisite tasting menu (there is also a vegetarian tasting menu). All their meats are Halal certified.
It has Indian food delivery service in Barcelona in several apps.

Rangoli
This Indian restaurant is owned by the same owners as the Bembi restaurant and is located in the Barceloneta neighborhood, specifically at Paseo Juan de Borbรณn 78 (Metro: L4 Barceloneta).
Decorated with pieces brought directly from India, it is cozy and elegant.
I recommend their entire Tandoori menu, but especially the Murgh Nawabi Tikka (Tandoori chicken with cardamom and nutmeg). The Ghost Tariwala (lamb curry) is very good and the Chaats are something you can't miss in Rangoli, it has a great variety, something not very common in the restaurants of the area.
If you are looking for Tandoori dishes in Barcelona this is your ideal restaurant.

Out of India
This colorful Indian restaurant in Barcelona is located at Mallorca 20.
Its menu is super wide and covers the entire geography of the country. In the "Indian street food" section you can taste the flavors of Old Delhi, the crowded streets of Bhopal, the most popular street stalls of Bombay and even Indore (all this without getting up from your chair). Your Biryani are delicious and the Goa style fish curry is very good. They have a very good selection of lamb, chicken and fish curries.
If you want to try a different drink, I recommend the Rose of the Orient iced tea.
They have a tasting menu with many options to choose from, home delivery service and their meats are Halal certified.

Surya
In the street Pau Clarรญs 92 there is a place that will make you travel to the city of Bollywood. This Indian restaurant in Barcelona has a very modern atmosphere, its bar is a colorful bus and everything is inspired by the city of Mumbai and its gastronomic diversity.
They have suggestions of the day, menu of the day and take-out. Something I love are the Combos they have, they are ideal for diners who don't know what to eat or for those who like to be surprised... The Combo "Mumbai Street" is TOP 10, a tour of the flavors of Mumbai's street food. Both the section of the menu dedicated to "street food" and the Tandoor section are not to be missed.
Something great about their menu and website is that you have a photo of all the dishes, a fantastic detail for those who are not very familiar with Indian food.

Bar Bar - The Indian Gastronomia
This Indian restaurant is located in the Eixample district, specifically at 146 Aribau Street. The place is very cozy and nice. Its menu is based on traditional Indian food but served in a very special way and with a lot of care.
Everything is great but my recommendations if you want something different are the Tandoori Chicken Momos, the Lamb Kebab, the Tikka Roll and Dhal Bukhara.
For dessert you can't miss the traditional Gulab Jamun with 24 karat gold.
It has a very complete tasting menu and is ideal if you like to try different dishes. I must say that the service is exceptional :)
Chennai Masala Dosa
It is located in the district of Les Corts, at 326 Galileo St. This Indian restaurant in Barcelona is specializing in food from the South of the country. It is a cozy place and the treatment is very familiar.
Here the "Dosa" is the absolute protagonist and I recommend you to try them because they are delicious. The truth is that every time I go to this Indian restaurant I end up eating "Dosa" so I can't recommend you much more although I'm sure everything is delicious.
You can also taste the famous Thali South India.

The best Pakistani restaurants in Barcelona
Baby Jalebi
This is the trendy Pakistani restaurant in Barcelona. There are 2 locations, one located in Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes 452 and the second in the neighborhood of Gracia.
Both restaurants are cozy and have a very simple and casual style. Its menu takes you on a route through the streets of Pakistan and India and its best street delicacies..
I am a huge fan of Baby Jalebi. I recommend EVERYTHING :)
And obviously being a lover of Jalebi And to honor the name of the scrubber...don't leave without eating one of these sweet (very sweet) oranges that can brighten up even the dullest of days.

Lahore restaurant
This Pakistani restaurant in Barcelona is located in the Port Forum. Their food is faithful to Pakistani recipes and they have a wide variety of meats both in curry and baked.
My favorite dishes are the Kebab, the Lahori Mutton Karahi and Dasti (a delicious lamb shoulder). And for dessert, undoubtedly the Ras Millai and Kulfi.
My favorite Kebab in Barcelona is the one in Lahore restaurant :)
Habib's Village
In the heart of Port Olimpic you can find this Pakistani restaurant in Barcelona.
Something different about this restaurant is that buffet at lunchtime and in the evening. If you want to taste many dishes of Pakistani cuisine and Indian food and discover the culinary delicacies of these two countries...this restaurant is quite good.
If you are not a fan of buffets, they have an extensive menu as well. I have always eaten buffet meals at this Pakistani restaurant in Barcelona so I wouldn't know what to recommend from the menu but the truth is that everything I tried was good.
If you want to travel to India without leaving Barcelona, you can't miss a visit to Little India Barcelona, the Indian neighborhood of Barcelona. There, in addition to Indian restaurants, you will find food stores with all Indian ingredients, accessory stores, Indian style clothing tailors and much more.
