Some variations include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Mango chutney with coconut:<\/strong> Shredded coconut is added for a tropical touch.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Mango chutney with tamarind:<\/strong> Tamarind is incorporated for a more sweet and sour flavor.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Mango chutney with onion:<\/strong> Caramelized onion is added for more depth of flavor.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Spicy mango chutney:<\/strong> Spices are intensified with cloves, star anise or cardamom.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Mango Chutney Recipe<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ingredients<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>1 kg of <strong>mango<\/strong> (ripe, diced small)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>20 grs of <strong>fresh ginger<\/strong> (grated)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 cup of <strong>sugar<\/strong> (preferably brown)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 teaspoon of <strong>salt<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>15 grains of <strong>black pepper<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00bd cup of <strong>white vinegar<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 tablespoon of <strong>garam masala<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 branch of <strong>cinnamon<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 <strong>red chili<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Instructions<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Chop the <strong>mango<\/strong> into small cubes, grate the <strong>ginger<\/strong> and cut the <strong>red chili<\/strong> into fine pieces.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In a frying pan with a little <strong>vegetable oil<\/strong>skip the <strong>garlic, ginger and red chilies<\/strong> for 1 minute.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add the <strong>spices<\/strong> and saut\u00e9 for 1 more minute to release its aromas.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Incorporates the <strong>mangoes, sugar, salt and vinegar<\/strong>Mix all the ingredients well. Cook over medium heat.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>When it comes to a boil, reduce the heat to low and simmer, stirring occasionally, until it acquires a <strong>thick jam<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Remove from heat, <strong>pulls out the cinnamon stick<\/strong> and let it cool before storing it in a glass jar.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What can I take mango chutney with?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>This chutney is <strong>highly versatile<\/strong> and combines with a wide variety of dishes. It is ideal to accompany appetizers such as samosas and pakoras as well as main courses of rice, curries and Indian breads of course.
